Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, Ruby!

Mum's off & needs a Ruby Wedding card! I'm getting crazy value from Feb 14th leftovers! Oh those Poppicrafts charms: elegance in a jiffy. Then I dash her to the airport -late again!

Just read your comments re stamping probs on Michelle's blog. Don't know if this will help or not cos I'm not an expert, but here goes -
Sometimes when a stamp is new, it still has some residue left from the manufacturing, so you need to get rid of this first as it can cause an uneven image. Give it a good wipe with alcohol free baby wipes. Some people I know use a very mild soap with a bit of water for this but I am always a bit wary of damaging the stamp. Anyway once you have done this, lightly ink up the stamp. You are right to take the pad to the stamp and not the other way around. Once inked, stamp a few times onto scrap paper.Re ink and repeat - do this a few times cos the more you use a stamp, the better it gets!! Don't be tempted to over ink or you will end up with a blobby mess and an uneven image. Also, try stamping on a surface that is not too hard ie onto one of those lap trays with the cushions underneath or a mouse mat - something with a bit of give. If you find that your image is too feint, maybe try using embossing powders as they give a strong outline. Other than that, I don't know what to suggest. Hope this helps :)

Your ruby card is lovely by the way - the colours are fab xx

This is lovely. I have just stumbled across your blog, and love it. I am having a fun blog candy challenge thing, come on over and take a look.

What a lovely card! Thank you for your sweet words on my blog. I used to live in Zürich for 2.5 years and got the chance to go to Lake Geneva - but never to your side of the lake though. Must be beautiful!
Have a wonderful Sunday,
