Great idea Sammie - I'll send you some cards. May is just the best month to have a birthday - mine was the 5th!!! Good luck to your son in his audition - I have one in June - for Santuzza - a role I've already played but would love to sing again. Keep your fingers crossed for me - it says open auditions but you know what amateur companies are like!

I've just posted 10 cards to you, I wish you the best of luck and don't worry I haven't included froggie as a good luck charm. The ladies at my church make cards all year round and we leave them in the vestry with a money box and they select and pay. We've raised £200 already this year. janex

Hi Sammie,

Have also put a selection of cards in the post to you and fingers crossed, you should receive them shortly.

No hockey for us this weekend (phew!) as Aaron still not 100%, so nice quiet weekend as he has SATS starting on Monday!

Take care and have a fab weekend,

Lou

wow Sammie just seen you, amazing, you look like a lady who enjoys life to the full. About the card sales, we tend to keep them smallish and not over the top embellishments, this keeps cost down.We usually ask between £1 and £1.30 bargin bin quickies 50p. We always bring them out for fairs and monthly coffee mornings, you then get outside traffic. I know there not nice to make, but a simple well made sympathy card is alway in demand. Hope this helps as churches always need funds ,and there are always good causes.janex

Sammie, glad the parcels arrived, in answer to your question, I use the quickutz die cutting system mostly - they have a variety of alphas and 'cookie cutter' words. Occasionally I use sizzix sizzlits and Go-kreate dies (the latter are compatible with quickutz), Craftsulove are a good UK supplier, alternatively scrapyland in Florida, but the exchange rate is not so good at the moment !*warning* like stamping and cardmaking ,die cutting is very addictive !
